The Driftwood Inn Bed & Breakfast offers a stunning view up Cayuga Lake from the north shore at Sheldrake—halfway down the west side of the lake. Our peaceful, lakefront property is perfect for a romantic weekend, a birthday or anniversary getaway, or a relaxing family vacation in the Finger Lakes.
We enjoy 260 feet of private lakefront beach for swimming, boating, and fishing. Our dock extends 100 feet from shore to accommodate all types of lake craft. Guests are welcome to use our two kayaks, two-person kayak, paddle boat, and rowboat—free of charge throughout their stay.
Only guests staying in the Inn (B&B) receive our gourmet inspired breakfast each morning, served in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Each guest room includes its own private bathroom. You’ll love relaxing on our expansive wrap-around porch, taking in the lake breeze and beautiful sunsets. With homey surroundings and thoughtful touches, the Driftwood offers a true Finger Lakes retreat.
We’re located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY, just 15 miles north of Ithaca—an ideal location for those attending Cornell University or Ithaca College events such as graduation.

We also offer four fully equipped cottages that are ideal for families and extended stays. While we are not pet-friendly, we are very family-friendly and welcome guests of all ages looking for a peaceful, lakefront vacation experience.

We are also in the heart of the Cayuga Wine Trail, home of many award-winning wineries. Within walking distance of the Driftwood is Sheldrake Point Vineyard, which enjoys a scenic lakefront location adjacent to a gracious neighborhood of small estates in the heart of the Cayuga Wine Trail. Many of the other area wineries are within easy driving distance of us. When you return from your daily tours, relax on our wrap-around porch, sit back, sip some wine, and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
Anyone who likes to walk or bike will enjoy wandering on the roads along the lake, or exploring the interesting ravines nearby. For golfers, we have many challenging courses for you to play, including Seneca Falls, Trumansburg, or Bona Vista.
